3 Days in Greece
Athens to Mykonos
Get to Piraeus port early. You’ll want to arrive 45 minutes before your ferry departs since the port can be confusing. The fast ferry takes about 2.5 hours to reach Mykonos. “When arriving at the port, having a gate assignment would have helped for the ferry – ask your transfer driver to point you to the right terminal.” Once you’re checked in, explore Little Venice and Matogiania in Mykonos’ old town. These spots get packed from 6-8 PM when cruise ships dock, so going earlier is smart. For dinner, try some local specialties like kopanisti cheese and Mykonian sausages at one of the tavernas in Little Venice.

- Day 2
Mykonos to Santorini
Take the morning ferry to Santorini, which takes about 2.5 hours. A helpful tip from a fellow traveler: “Request a seat away from the engine room on the ferry – some seats can be quite noisy and bumpy.” Head to Fira after arriving. It’s the island’s main town and makes getting around easy. Plan to be in Oia at least 90 minutes before sunset to get a good spot. The Byzantine castle ruins offer some of the best views. One visitor noted: “The sunset cruise was longer than needed – if you’re short on time, watching from Oia itself is just as magical and leaves more time to explore the village.”

- Day 3
Santorini to Athens
Use your last morning in Santorini wisely. If you’re interested in a caldera cruise, know it takes about 5 hours. Afternoon ferries usually get back to Piraeus around 4-5 PM, but summer delays aren’t unusual.
